SUMMARY:Rehabilitation and Modernization of NYC Subway Stations Using Design-Build Delivery
DESCRIPTION:The Enhanced Station Initiative (ESI) was an ambitious program to rehabilitate and enhance existing New York City Subway stations under an aggressive schedule using Design-Build contracts\, a delivery method not previously used by NYC Transit. This virtual presentation will elaborate on the execution of the program\, beginning with the decision to use Design-Build delivery\, development of the RFP documents\, the bid phase and the post-award process. \nYou will learn: \n\nHow Design-Build delivery can be effective when opportunities for creativity are limited and the Owner has specific aesthetic requirements.\nHow to develop the request for proposal documents.\nHow to incentivize contractors to maximize quality and reduce design and construction schedules.\nHow to develop a design review program for multiple concurrent projects.\n\nRegister Now\nContinuing Education:\nAttendees will be eligible for 1.5 AIA LUs and DBIA CEHs. \nPricing (registration closes Dec. 18 at noon): \n\nMembers: $30\nOwners: $20\nStudents: $20\nNon-members: $45\n\nSpeakers: \nChad Corsten\, PE\, DBIA\nAssociate Principal\, Arup \nChad Corsten is an Associate Principal\, Project Director and Major Projects Leader in Arup’s Los Angeles Office.
