We’re thrilled to share that the DBIA NYC Metro Region is laying the groundwork to launch new Student Chapters at several top-tier institutions across New York and New Jersey over the next six months. These chapters will empower students to explore design-build as a career path, connect with industry leaders, and gain hands-on experience in collaborative project delivery.

We’re currently working with the following schools to bring Student Chapters to life:

  • NYU Tandon School of Engineering – Brooklyn
  • Fordham University – Bronx
  • New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) – Newark, NJ
  • Rutgers University – New Brunswick, NJ
  • Cooper Union – Manhattan
  • SUNY Farmingdale – Long Island

These chapters will provide students with exclusive access to DBIA resources, networking events, regional programming, and opportunities to grow as emerging leaders in the AEC industry.

Are you connected to a university that should be part of the design-build movement? We’d love to expand our reach! If you’re interested in bringing a Student Chapter to your institution or supporting this effort, please reach out to:

Bill Hasbrook – whasbrook@dbia.org

Ruth Burney – rburney@dep.nyc.gov

Together, we’re building a pipeline of future-ready professionals who will help shape the built environment through innovation, collaboration, and design-build excellence.
