This was a 1-day course advertised and run with help from DBIA National. We had a full class of 30 attendees (sold out) with a nationally drawn faculty of SMEs, including Craig Covil. Gina Bigler PE DBIA from PANYNJ gave am opening presentation of PANYNJ’s capital program and projects to date that included P3, D-B and other alternative delivery methods. Course attendees were credited with 8 CEHs. The course is designed for both public and private sector Design-Build knowledgeable professionals with a slant toward private sector Design-Build Practitioners. The course highlights key differences between P3 and more traditional Design-Build procurement, project execution and risk considerations, and how the private sector financing and long-term operations and maintenance obligations change the technical considerations of a project. This course will be given next in Nashville with TDOT on April 21, and then again in Las Vegas at the National Conference.
