The DBIA NYC Metro Region Conference will be held Sept. 29-30, 2026, and we’re launching an open call for presenters/panelists. We invite Owners, designers, builders, consultants and industry partners across the AEC community to submit ideas for engaging, practical and forward-looking conference panel sessions.

This year’s program will spotlight design-build leadership and innovation across critical infrastructure sectors. We are especially seeking presentation concepts focused on:

  • Rail / Transit
  • Aviation
  • Water / Wastewater
  • Energy / Utilities
  • Bridges & Tunnels

We’re looking for proposals that share real lessons learned, innovation, emerging best practices and project outcomes — whether you’re highlighting a marquee project, a new delivery model or a breakthrough in collaboration, safety, resilience, sustainability, technology or community impact that is particularly relevant to our New York and Northern New Jersey members.

Presentation ideas might include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Case studies of successful (or instructive) design-build projects
  • Innovations in procurement, contracting and risk management
  • Integrating sustainability, climate adaptation and resiliency
  • Safety, quality and operational excellence in complex environments
  • Digital delivery, BIM/VDC and emerging tech applications
  • Stakeholder, community and workforce engagement
  • Program management strategies for large capital portfolios
  • Owner perspectives on project goals, outcomes and value

Submission Requirements

All proposals must be submitted online by Feb. 23, 2026, and include:

  • Presentation Title (10–12 words)
  • Summary (200 words max)
  • Four Key Learning Objectives
  • Intended Audience and Experience Level
  • Panel Representation
  • Panelist Information (names, credentials, affiliations)

Please prepare an outline of your idea and submit it using the form linked here.

Deadline: Feb. 23, 2026
Ideas received by this date will be reviewed by the conference planning committee. Selected presenters will be notified with next steps on session format and final content.

If you have a compelling story, a smart solution or lessons learned that can help advance design-build in our region, we want to hear from you. Please share this call with colleagues and partners across the industry.

We’re excited to build a dynamic, relevant program with voices from across the AEC community and we hope you’ll be part of it. For questions contact contact@dbianycmetro.org
